A lifelong love of travelling led to my devotion to Plein Air painting. I attempt to capture the essence of a place, the essence of the light and the power of the place. The transparency of watercolor requires quick assessment and total absorption to catch the fleeting angle of the light or the beauty of the water as it dances along a stream. I have studied at the MFA school in Boston; the De Cordova School in Lincoln, Mass; the Woodstock School of Art, Woodstock NY; and the Corning Studio Glass, Corning NY. I have shown work in Juried shows at De Cordova and MFA student exhibits as well as the BeaconHill Art Walk and the Il Chiostro group show in NYC.
